Hurray, we finally have sunny days. Unfortunately a few of you probably had some leaks or drainage problems with all the rain we had this Winter. Now is the time to start planning for the maintenance and repairs that all homes need.
Take the time when doing your spring window washing to clean out your window tracks and check the weep holes and make sure they are clear. Look into the corners of your windows and make sure the silicone still has a good seal.
If you have experienced fogging between the panes of your windows, this can be repaired by replacing the window glass. You may be surprised as allot of the windows will carry some type of warranty. Check with your local glass company listed on MyGoToSource.com and they will provide you with the needed information.
Regarding poor drainage at your home, make sure you keep the soil level below the finished floor level and that you maintain a 2% slope away from the structure. Take the time to fix this before you plant your spring flowers and you will be one step ahead for next winter. It is always a good preventative measure to make sure that you keep your sprinklers from spraying on the structure as well.
Have a happy day!

Getting Ready for The Holidays
So here we are in the middle of December. I don't know about the rest of you, but I am behind as usual. With all of the shopping and Holiday preparation, I find that my housework and projects get pushed to the back of my to do list. I have posted some of my favorite tips for helping with the household chores on MyGoToSource.com. Give the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser a try. It works great with very little time and effort.

Welcome to MyGoToSource.com
Hello, I am so glad you decided to visit our site. MyGoToSource.com is my personal vision of how to get local Construction Professionals visible and accessible to the Local Community.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am Debbie McComb. I have been working in the Construction Industry for 22 years. I have been a Licensed General Contractor since 1996. Like all of you, I have been trying to think about what can be done to turn around this economic decline in our industry. Thus, I am moving forward in my mission to help us get back to work.
The key to all of our success is to get our names out to Consumers within our local communities. My vision is to provide a "Go To Source" for Consumers to go to ANYTIME they need ANYTHING that has to do with Construction and Home Improvements.
MyGoToSource.com is created for use by Consumers and Construction Professionals alike. I hope both will find useful information on our site.
In addition to providing a consolidated marketing source, I hope to add some fun and ideas in my blog. I also hope to receive helpful hints and ideas from both Consumers and Construction Professionals.
Construction from a Woman's point of view. Lets have some fun with it.
